Anne of Green Gables

Now, this isn't a review, but more of my experience of reading Anne of Green Gables. This book was a childhood favorite of mine and still continues to be one of my favorite books. Anne is such an interesting character. She's brave and outgoing and in many ways, she's the person that you want to be.

There are so many crazy scenes in Anne of Green Gables, ones that never fail to make you laugh well others make you cry. Matthew's passing is one of these scenes, but you really can see how much Marilla and Anne depend on each other in this solemn chapter of the book.

In some ways, Anne is the character that every little kid wants to be, full of imagination and excitement for the world.

In other ways, Anne shows you just how many mistakes a person can make and that they can indeed recover from them. Anne trying to dye her hair black, but ending up green is just one of these mistakes and a scene that always succeeds in making you smile.

Anne of Green Gables will never fail to make you smile and make you cry so I highly suggest reading Anne of Green Gables because I believe it's one of those books that everyone should read no matter how young or old you are.
